TEN YEARS - TEN YEARS OF VICTORIES – "EDUCATION GIVES THE PAWNS POWERS OF KINGS!"

         

     In 2003 I started the Chess Project at Public School where I still work. The practice of a game in Math classes was an innovative proposal. Immediately everyone liked the idea, but many of them did not  know how to play, and some thought that "millennial game" was only for the "intellectuals"! I presented the game and the rules, and from then on, there were students fascinated and involved with the project once a week. 

       During the process began to emerge that students have practiced the game at home or with friends, and they became my monitors in the classroom. Then arose the "Chess Masters Multipliers Volunteers." With their presence they enriched the Chess Project! And over ten years this group of volunteers has been alternating, and what is better, the experience of volunteering at the school has been reflected in their lives. 

       The Public School where I work has achieved significant results over the years. Our students have distinguished themselves in the assessments proposed by the government, but in society as a whole, they have made a difference! Today we celebrate Ten Years of Chess Project "BATTLE OF KNOWLEDGE - PLEASURE IN LEARNING". 

 

      The city practicing the chess game in many schools, and all are aware of his importance in the intellectual and social development of each child and adolescent.  A few days ago I received a tribute of the Legislative Assembly of the State of S. Paul. In the coming days we will inaugurate the School "Square Chess" and put TEN TABLES symbolically represent that this day so special. May the example of the Public School can be multiplied in Brazil and in the world!

      What a privilege "Being a Teacher"!
